SkyAngels repatriation information...
SkyAngels secondary remit is to help repatriate British Citizens in distress abroad.
This can be supporting the patient and family, contacting the hospitals aboard and at home to full mission planning of the repatriation.
We can now offer full repatriation of the deceased, which is one of the most difficult missions within our remit.
We also place our advanced medical crews onto commercial airlines to complete our mission to support the general public.
SkyAngels can also task preferred partner air ambulance aircraft, helicopters and private road ambulances across the world at a moments notice.
Flights are paid for either by the patients travel insurance or the familiy if there is no insurance cover.
Over the last few years, our crews have even paid for some of the missions themselves!
During the last 18 months, we have been asked to support more than 50 british families with their repatriations.
Some of the countries we have operated from include:
France, Spain, Holland, Saudi Arabia, America, Australia,
Qatar, Bulgaria, South Africa, Cyprus, Greece and Bali.
HQ Crew
All international aeromedical flight requests for our charity to help is given due consideration by our HQ Crew and Trustees.
If your request falls into our charity remit and subject to full approval from our HQ Crew, SkyAngels Air Ambulance will consider your request and if possible either offer full or partial support.
This support is subject to due diligence, aircraft and crew availability...
Currently, due to the high number of international requests for repatriations for patients without travel insurance, we will offer a fee-based quotation.
Any surplus from these repatriations will help our NHS missions within the United Kingdom.
We will endeavor to offer a number of personalised repatriations options for each request.
